How to Make Close Friends

Making friends is not easy for shy people,
and finding a friend does not come as second nature for some.

Prepare unexpected.

Sometimes, friends find each other by coincidence. It happens when a person has an interesting contact with another, like a funny incident or whatever.

Seek new friends.

Sometimes, friends are made intentionally, and that needs courage. For example, to get a good friend you have to test his/her reactions towards you. If the reactions are negative, you haven't found a good friend for you and the opposite. You can get friends by hanging out with them or even by asking them out! Another way is by asking their help in something, and that is a good source for getting friends.

Maintaining friendships takes work.

To make close friends, you have to make sure that you share the same interests or hobbies and to have plenty in common, that way you can arrange yourselves by practicing those hobbies.

Don't just hang around with one group:

Make other friends as well! You could even join the two groups together.

Meet outside of school/workplace:

This is a great way to get to know he/she/them! You can find out their hobbies and what their interests are.

Sometimes, there are some people that do not want to make friends with you. You can and will get on their nerves.
