Structures for constructing 
interrogative sentences

1. (where the answer is ‘yes’ or ‘no’)
Structure: Auxiliary verb + subject + object?

Example:

Assertive = She is beautiful.
Interrogative = Is she beautiful?

2. Do/does/modal verbs + subject + main verb + object?

Example: Assertive= Saima can dance well.
Interrogative= Can Saima dance well?

3. (when people wants to know some information)

Structure:

When/where/how/which/who + aux verb + subject + main verb?

Example:

## When will you phone me, my dear?
## How was your shopping?

Assertive: subject + verb + object
Example:  Silvia is trying to have a full cream black forest.

Kinds of assertive sentence are two.

Affirmative: yes: Nitu, you are a good girl.
Negative:  no: Fahim is not a brilliant boy.
