Research Cycle

Research, the process of finding information about a topic, analyzing it and synthesizing your own conclusions from what you have learned. It is not a linear process. In other words, you will not necessarily follow steps in a nice, straight line towards your goal.

Research is a cycle, a somewhat messy process that allows for moving ahead, evaluating your results, then going back if necessary to revise your plan and uncover new information, until you reach your goal.
