Fernando Llorente has described finally completing his move to Juventus as "a dream".
The Spaniard chose to run down his contract with Athletic Bilbao, agreeing a move to Turin in January, and revealed that he had rejected offers from the Premier League to sign for the Serie A champions.
"I chose Juventus because they are a great club and it’s a dream for me to be playing here," he said.
"Juventus is the team that was most interested in me and pushed hardest to sign me. I preferred Serie A to the Premier League because it is a beautiful league and it has Juventus."
The Turin club have been busy in the off-season, having also acquired Carlos Tevez from Manchester City.
Llorente is delighted to be linking up with quality strikers and is confident that he can thrive, although he insisted that he will not be taking his place in manager Antonio Conte's side for granted.
"It’s not just two (him and Tevez) of us in the team, as there are six strikers and all of us can do well," he added.
"Who starts is down to Antonio Conte. I think that I can play alongside any of the strikers who are in the squad. They are all great players and I am very happy to be working with them.
"I am not worried about the number of goals I’ll score, as the important thing is to help the team win and contribute to a third consecutive Scudetto. That is something Juventus haven’t managed since 1935, so it would be wonderful to break that drought."
Llorente also revealed that he was affected by media reports when he could not agree a new deal with Athletic Bilbao, so much so that he was not enjoying playing the game.
"I was unable to agree a new contract with Athletic Bilbao last season and that was disappointing. From that moment most of the supporters had a negative image of me," he added.
"The press in Spain did not help this image either and made things even more negative. Since the first game I played after the news spread, everything in my game was affected. I did not perform well on the pitch and I was nor enjoying playing football for Bilbao."
