Only interactions can give the forum real flavor.

Dear Raju Bhai
I would like to share something with you. This is my personal observation that students who are involved too much in co-curricular activities are not good students at DIU. The prime duty of a student is to study, first of all, then comes extra curricular responsibilities. If a student is very good in sports or event management or presentation, but his or her CGPA is below 3, he or she is probably not going to get a good job anywhere. Even students having CGPA 3.8 or more are not getting internship nowadays quickly. I would like to mention the name of Fahmi who waited more than 2 months to get internship.
Of course, extra curriculum is very important for a student to lean many things and to grow. But they have to make sure that they have to study, first and foremost, then they should try to excel in other activities. I was a very good sports person, i used to play cricket and football in inter-school and college competitions. I became first in essay competition and impromptu speech competition. But i knew too much involvement in those activities could hamper my studies and i didn't let it happen so. I also remember that i wasted a lot of time in being a member of a communist party that gave wrong vision with wrong actions.
That's why we took a decision that to become a member in the debating club, a student has to maintain a certain CGPA. Students should excel in studies first, then comes co-curricular activities. Take for example: Sumon was a good student; he is a good presenter too.
We should motivate our students as such and let's not ill-empower them..
Warmly,
raju:
Yes Shibli Bhai I am very much with you and let’s plan something to motivate students similarly.
So far practicing a simple math or story about “GREAT ONE†for long time during training and classes from my end:
Good Student with Good Result can get “1†from me without any hesitation, then for singing well she/he can get a beautiful egg or “0†right side of “1†that makes the figure†10â€. And then he can get more and more eggs for sports, dance, acting, behaving well and so on…… where he or she can hold huge credit like, 1, 10, 100, 1000, 10000, 100000, 1000000,……. 10000000000000000000000000000000000…….
Finally the exiting math can be equals to zero or total zero without the greatâ€1â€.
Please note that it takes 1 to 30 min considering audience and situation you can create!
Thanks for knocking me always.
Developmentally yours,
Raju
