Three-dimensional genome map
(1/1)
Asif.Hossain:
Three-dimensional genome maps are leading to a deeper understanding of how the genome’s form influences its function. Sequencing projects alone are missing a key element of the genome—its spatial organization—which has long been recognized as an important regulator of gene expression.
The creation and function of 3-D genome organization, some say, is the next frontier of genetics.
In the last three years scientists have advanced technology, allowing them to paint a more refined picture of how the genome folds—and how this influences gene expression and disease states. Read more here: http://bit.ly/10HJRj1
