HOTTEST PLACE ON EARTH
What is the hottest place on Earth ?El Azizia in the Libyan desert is the hottest place on Earth. It’s close to the Equator. The air in the earth’s atmosphere is the warmest around the equator. So the warmer air flows north and south of the equator. As the air "piles" up in the northern and southern latitudes, these zones of "piled-high" warm air becomes zones of permanent high pressure. As the air at the bottom of the "piled" layer descends to the earth, it gets even more warmer. As this descending warm air doesn’t have clouds (water vapour), that allows the burning sun rays go right through the air and make the earth below more hot.
El Azizia in Libya recorded a temperature of 136 degrees Fahrenheit (57.8 Celsius) on Sept. 13, 1922 -- the hottest ever measured.
