Call for Humanitarian technology project competition:
Interested participants will present their ideas in front of the judges using power point. The idea should contain the following:
• Title
• Abstract reflecting the idea of the project
• Objective of the project
• Motivation of the project
• Methodology of the project (technology used)
• Flow Chart/ Block Diagram of the project
• How it will help the humanity?
• Future Work
• Conclusion
Topics include but are not limited to:
• Humanitarian Technology for disabled people
• Health, Medical Technology, Telemedicine
• Water Planning, Availability and Quality
• Disaster Warning, Avoidance, and Response
• Sanitation
• Power Infrastructure/Off-grid Power/Renewable and Sustainable Energy
• Connectivity and Communications Technologies (data/voice) for Remote Locations
• Educational Technologies
• Agricultural Technologies
• Applying Science, Engineering and Technology for Environmental Sustainability
• Humanitarian Challenges and Opportunities
The participants will have to submit abstracts of the ideas to wie.bdsection@gmail.com by December 10, 2013.
