Sun journalist faces charges over computer hacking
« on: November 23, 2013, 07:14:50 PM »
A former journalist at The Sun has been charged with possessing criminal property, namely a mobile phone. Ben Ashford, 34, was also charged with unauthorised access to computer material. Both charges relate to October 2009.

Mr Ashford, a former general news reporter at The Sun, which is owned by News UK, the parent company of The Times, is the first person to be charged under Operation Tuleta. The Scotland Yard investigation into allegations of computer hacking and breaches of privacy is an offshoot of the phone-hacking inquiry.
