South Africa T20 captain Faf du Plessis has said that the opening pair of Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla is really working well for the side, with de Kock being aggressive and Amla being the calm one and Graeme Smith may have to wait for a return.
According to Sport24, despite the fact that the South African bowling attack failed to fire for the first time in a long while, one of the biggest positives for the Proteas has been the opening partnership between Hashim Amla and the youthful wicketkeeper, Quinton de Kock.
The pair have notched up 183 runs in the last four innings, with scores of 58, 72, 37 and 16, the report said. They average 45.75 runs for the first wicket at a strike-rate of 138.64 runs per 100 balls and the pair looks set to stay, the report added.
Du Plessis also indicated that Graeme Smith may not return to the team as the present combination was pretty settled for the World Cup ahead.
