Green Building
« on: December 29, 2013, 12:24:19 AM »
Green Building is a concept where the total system of building construction design and materials  met the requirements of  environment friendly or sustainable development concept.  The building itself may be a part of the environment to protect it. The building will ensure the best utilization of natural resources like moon light, rain water, sunlight etc. The first Green Building in Bangladesh was built by EPIC group in May 2011. Now, Cityscape International Limited is in the process of building 'green' buildings in Bangladesh, with a keen focus on the environment.  All of their constructions are designed to reduce carbon footprint to be truly sustainable and efficient 'green' buildings.

I do agree

Green building refers to a structure and using process that is environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building's life-cycle: from sitting to design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and demolition. This requires close cooperation of the design team, the architects, the engineers, and the client at all project stages. The Green Building practice expands and complements the classical building design concerns of economy, utility, durability, and comfort.
