It is true that anti-viruses significantly slow down PC but for document works it should still be ok.

Sometimes students who need to work on something related to graphics design or complex presentation, might find the computers very slow as most of the PC do not have graphics driver installed. In this case its a driver problem not anti-virus problem.

Some times a lot of students browse a lot of random websites linked in various social websites like facebook or even some random links from emails. As a result a lot of viruses and mail-wares get stored in the lab PCs. So if all the students be alert and be careful when they are browsing websites the huge virus problem in the computer lab might get better.

What If any of the students find that the anti - viruses installed in the lab PCs are not working properly? this might possibly happen in case that anti virus is not fully updated. But its not true that the anti - viruses do not work at all. They are still able to block the old viruses stored in its database. So uninstalling those anti - viruses at this point might be more crucial as it will add up the old viruses with the new ones ...

So if we really want this problem to be solved we must all try our best to avoid going to random/unsafe sites and be careful of the spam mails with random web links. Also be careful of the advertises in the websites tells you about various prizes. Most of these advertises trick people to add mail- ware, Key logger and viruses to their PC.

If we do so the authority will also find it easy to manage/maintain all the PC in the labs.

Lets all be one and try our best to maintain our beloved university and its properties.

Thanks Jafar Iqbal for good matter posting.This is the most problem in DIU maximum PC.For virus we are facing some problems to doing lab-work.Last Business Law class BRE students facing this problem.As a result we are showing our presentation slide.So on behalf of the all BRE students i request to the authority to solve this problem as soon as possible.
