World Housing Day........

World Housing Day will be celebrated October 4th, 1993. Its theme this year is women and housing development. Its purpose is to promote the recognition of women as active partners in the development of human establishments. World Housing Day is celebrated every year on the first Monday of October. The UN's Organization for Human Establishments, based in Nairobi, Kenya, organizes this day. The objective of this annual presentation is to attract the attention of the entire world to the importance of housing, which plays a determining role in health, productivity, and the feeling of social well-being.

its great for us because we are the real estate student ,but at present our exam is running for this reason we cant get any program of  this day

thank u very much, Sadia miss. this is really a initiative calling to us.obviously we will join in that arrangement. i believe that it will be very much helpful to increase our knowledge to learn more effectively abt REAL ESTATE. because in real estate sector practical learning is mostly needed and effective.

Many thanks to all who has joined the discussion on World Housing Day to be observed by us. Our admin officer Ms. Sadia put this idea into the forum to be discussed. The response seems more than expectation. Few minuets ago I received a call from Raju Sir and he expressed his positive intention to make this program a GALA event in collaboration with some national and internal agencies. This is great news for us. We have less than one month to go... it is on coming 4th October 2010. Tomorrow we are going to sit with CDC about the event management of the observance and let all know about the development. We, the department, along with our enthusiastic students seek help from every departments if DIU to make it a success.

Could you please put your idea about what actually we can do for the observance of World Housing Day?

Sir thanks for giving us the chance of being a part of the plan of the celebration.

We can arrange a conference including top government and non-government peoples who actually can put some light on the present housing situation for average people of Bangladesh.

We can present a e-story of success journey of our department in front of media and talk about our own views about the day and the sector.

We can arrange a rally at the busy roads where we would get a public notice.

We can publish an colourfull advertisement containing students snaps from different times and wish all the country of world housing day.

We can publish a two pages magazine which will contain our departments history and seniors ( teacher's) write ups on housing problem and possible adaptation and send it to various organizations such as REHAB, Developer companies and RAJUK or "gono purto montronaloy" as a complementary copy and also provide it to students for collection.
