৬। বিবাহ নিবন্ধিকরণ পদ্ধতি:
(১) হিন্দু ধর্ম, রীতি-নীতি ও আচার অনুষ্ঠান অনুযায়ী হিন্দু বিবাহ সম্পন্ন হওয়ার পর উক্ত বিয়ের দালিলিক প্রমাণ সুরক্ষার উদ্দেশ্যে, বিবাহের যে কোন পক্ষের নির্ধারিত পদ্ধতিতে আবেদনের প্রেক্ষিতে হিন্দু বিবাহ নিবন্ধক, নির্ধারিত পদ্ধতিতে বিবাহ নিবন্ধন করিবেন।
(২) এই আইন কার্যকর হইবার পূ্র্বে হিন্দু ধর্ম, রীতি-নীতি ও আচার অনুষ্ঠান অনুযায়ী সম্পন্নকৃত কোন বিবাহের যে কোন পক্ষের, নির্ধারিত পদ্ধতিতে, আবেদনের প্রেক্ষিতে এই আইনের বিধান অনুসরণক্রমে নিবন্ধন করা যাইবে।

৬(১) এ বলা আছে, "উক্ত বিয়ের দালিলিক প্রমাণ সুরক্ষার উদ্দেশ্যে" তার অর্থ হচ্ছে, রেজিস্ট্রেশন বিয়ের একটি দালিলিক প্রমাণ। If the customs and rituals are not followed, then a Hindu marriage could not be completed. Right. Also, if you do not register the marriage, then no one could ask the validity of the marriage. That's right too. It's optional in nature. But if you registered a marriage, the document could be used as a evidence of that marriage.

Hindu marriage registration should make mandatory. Everybody should raise his or her voice regarding this.
