Encryption keys are stored inside the device, so that even Google can not provide confidential information to the authorities.

 Android L is expected to include hardware protection for disk encryption keys, as well as hardware acceleration for encrypted disk access.

Android is google's product now. do you really think they wont keep a way to decrypt your confidential information.

Its a very good step to keep your privacy in the internet. But the name seems a bit funny to me..."lollipop"???
