sometimes i think that we r following same rules in whole BBA.not only BBA but also in other department. like there will be 3 quizes,a midterm,an assignment, presentation and after that a final exam.every university in our country follow this system, most probably foreign university also.i don't have any problem of that.even i don't know what will be the alternative one.for that there has many educationist. but i wish the alternative 1 will be more effective, innovative and interesting to student.every thing is changing and modifying day by day.so it should also.i want just to concern u that it could happen in future

Miss Ferdous, at first i'd like to welcome you in the forum...
My personal opinion regarding this matter is quite positive. You prepare all your lesson stuffs when you appear for quizes...and this preparation culminates into a semester final preparation...    But, as we know, every good thing has a bad side of its own. As we get little time for preparing the lessons and by that time quizes occur frequently, we just memorize the stuffs rather than having a good idea about it...
And, I am sorry but, to me the term "quiz" is inadequate! This thing should not be made too much flashy, and thus should be refereed as "class exams" since the patten is very much tutorial course test type... Although I'm a juvenile in these prospects but my suggestion would be,
1. Quizes should be structured in accordance with the chapters (That means if a course has 12 chapters, 12 "quizes" should be taken.)
2. No broad or semi broad questions should be added in the ques. paper.
3. More innovative questions and the stuffs that make the chapters to be read precisely should be added but should be brief.
4. Quizes should be billed as academic fun stuff and a simple way to cut out numbers, to eradicate the fear among the students. Because i feel, we like non academic quizes because the quizes are fun stuffs and you will never know that it's making ur knowledge enriched......
And lastly i feel DIU has a great potential and should bring some new ideas regarding this stuffs...And I'm sorry to my honorable authorities if I had stated any degenerated stuffs, but i think that forum is the best way to eradicate the mindset difference between the authority and the pupils.

My friend Faiyaz,
I'm very happy to read your post. & I think you have created a superb idea.As we have not the right to say anything about study system of any varsity, but it our motive to think & flourish the innovative ideas. Really we need more quizzes according to the need of course itself. As many as quizzes taken, students will be conscious about the positive sides of it.

Although we have a mid & a final to perform, it should be in mind that all of us are not equal minded & not more attentive. I personally believe that if we try to make more quizzes according to lessons, it will so great for all of us bcuz from then ,as i concern, no students should not be able to misunderstand anything.

So faiaz, I hope ur wish and desires will come to the attraction to the system makers of DIU.

Bro Sajib, I am actually very much flattered after your appreciation! Sorry 4 d joke...!
But my main point is to make the quizes interesting...
For example, if a teacher puts a question in the question paper, who is the "assumed" to be the father of accounting? Everybody in d classroom may not answer it but a few if they analyse... And also i want to illustrate a thing 4m dis xmpl that, students will have to read the material...bcoz as we know Luca Pasioli is regarded as the "formulator" of accounting as he created double entry. So why not we regard him as the father? Bcoz this double entry is the main stuff in accounting. But the main part is, the quizes should be brief... I can give you my own example... As i had to read the entire strategic planning process as it is very broad, i could not read other stuffs properly... And when market positioning came in the question paper i could not give a proper answer as i was not aware that it is "SOMEWHAT" branding...
I hope u understand,
Aliös!
(P.S. Miss ferdous, I have made almost clear my "little" idea here in this post)
