Recalled Australia Test batsman Usman Khawaja has warmed up for next month's tour of Bangladesh in emphatic style, compiling a stylish double century in Queensland grade cricket.

The my footDR Queensland Bulls batsman finished 201 not out off 276 balls as Valley scored 2-352 declared against Toombul on the opening day of their two-day fixture at Peter Easton Oval.

Khawaja combined with Queensland under-19 batsman Jack Beath (82) for a 204-run stand for the second wicket.

The left-handed opener hit 17 fours and three sixes in what was the second double ton scored in the competition in as many weeks.
