(1/1)
kaisar hamid:
100 days to go until the start of 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup.
With just 100 days remaining until the world's most awaited cricketing extravaganza, fans across the globe are already anticipating thrilling contests, battles of brain and brawn that look set to surpass previous ICC Cricket World Cup highs
Hosted once every four years, the fifty over World Cup format is the ICC's most coveted tournament.
With India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka playing hosts to the cricketing world, the 43-day mega tournament will feature the planet's leading stars competing for cricket's top prize.
Reigning champions Australia have won the title a record four times. However, they are not in the kind of form that makes them outright favourites. As a result, the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Kumar Sangakkara, Andrew Strauss, MS Dhoni, Daniel Vettori and Graeme Smith believe World Cup glory is within their reach.
Cricket's most adored baby will see 14 nations playing a total of 49 matches and will be telecast LIVE in 220 countries across the globe. With ESPN STAR SPORTS being the official broadcast partner, fans can be rest assured of some exciting times ahead, with the legends of the game on hand to guide you through the LIVE proceedings.
The aficionados of the game have already started chalking out their strategies with the glittering opening ceremony to be held in Mirpur's Shere-e-Bangla National Stadium in Bangladesh on February 19.
The only problem? As a fan, the 100 day wait just seems to be too long.. Bring it on guys!
