Narrated 'Aisha:
Whenever Allah's Messenger (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) ordered the Muslims to do something, he used to order them deeds which were easy for them to do, (according to their strength endurance). They said, "O Allah's Messenger (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam)! We are not like you. Allah has forgiven your past and future sins." So Allah's Apostle became angry and it was apparent on his face. He said, "I am the most Allah fearing, and know Allah better than all of you do."
মুহাম্মদ ইব্ন সালাম (র) ......... ‘আয়িশা (রা) থেকে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ্ (সা) সাহাবীদের যখন কোন আমলের নির্দেশ দিতেন তখন তাঁরা যতটুকু সমর্থ্য রাখতেন ততটুকুই নির্দেশ দিতেন। একবার তাঁরা বললেন, ‘ইয়া রাসূলুল্লাহ্! আমরা তো আপনার মত নই। আল্লাহ্ তা’আলা আপনার পূর্ববর্তী এবং পরবর্তী সকল ত্রুটি মা’ফ করে দিয়েছেন।’ একথা শুনে তিনি রাগ করলেন, এমনকি তাঁর চেহারা মুবারকে রাগের চিহ্ন প্রকাশ পাচ্ছিল। এরপর তিনি বললেনঃ তোমাদের চাইতে আল্লাহ্কে আমিই বেশি ভয় করি ও বেশি জানি।
