INSPIRATIONAL STORIES
Mustafizur rRhman:
This is my real story. Last semester my mother was so sick that she could not walk, could not eat, vomiting constantly because she got electrolyte problem. We hospitalized her. I am the only girl in my family. So at that time, my life was so miserable that I had to handle my family and study also. I could not attend class regularly. I thought I dropped this semester. I forgot to smile. Suddenly I got a phone call. My cousin Mishu called me and said she would come tomorrow. I said her that it was impossible, you had a baby you could not manage it. I also told her that it was my problem and I handled it in my own way. But she did not hear my words. At last, she came to my house. To saw her, I feel very reliable. She helped me a lot. She cooked for us, she stayed with my mother in hospital and I looked after her daughter at home. I started my study, attended class and participating exams. My mother health was better. Everything was seemed to be good after coming her in my home. But the sorrowful moment was that night before she leaving. I asked about her study. She told me that she did not admit into Masters because the admission time was over. I told her that why she did not tell it before. Mishu said that if she told me then I forced her to go away in this critical moment. I cried a lot at that night. This is called sacrifice. I never forget this sacrifice that she did for me.

A Black Rose in A White Forest
Suddenly she grasps my hands, holds my arms, kisses me. I do not know what should I do? She is lovely and her hair is gray but it goes with her face. She tells something to me but I don't understand her because I don't know the language of this country (Turkey). I am a fish out of water. It is a public place. She holds my checks and kisses me again. But I can realize her emotion and feelings when I look into her eyes. Her bright skin turns on pink. Then my friend who is local here he translates her words. She says that I am her child. She is near about 80 years old. She insists that I am her son. I am surprised. Is she insane? I see that her tear is falling but her eyes are twinkling. As if she gets her child after a long period. However, she takes me with her and after a certain time we reach her home. But her home says many things. It is nice house but I find a sadness. Very soon I realize that I get my mother. She invites me to enter a room. The room is dark. She shows many toys, clothes and tries to say me something but again I can't understand. Then she tells me a story and my friend translates it. Many years ago a young black guy came here from the Indian sub-continent and she fell in love with him. They married secretly and she became pregnant. At that time other people knew it and killed that guy because he was black. Racism was practiced very hardly here at that time. But nobody knew about her pregnancy and she gave birth of a male child who looked like his father. She hid him from the society but unfortunately one day the people came to know about him and found him as a black guy. Again they killed him. The lady became psycho patient. Now she is old but she expects that one day her son will come and today when she sees me, she thinks that I am that boy. My mother died when I was only 3 months old and one thing I heard from my father that my mother was so beautiful and fair. So it seems to me that I find my mom here. Today in 2017 the tendency of racism is little bit changed. I am upset to hear the story but I am so much happy to get back my mother as well as she is happy to get her son. So, at last an orphan finds his mom and a mother gets her beloved son. Love is blind and love, emotion these are magical, not logical.

Friendship is a miracle of God. It is a promise of togetherness of a lifetime. Anything lesser than that is not worth having a friend. I know a story of friendship. When I was in class six, I have learnt from one of my madrasha teachers. Here is a compilation of short stories on friendship with an inspiration for you to become not only a better person but also understand the meaning of true friendship.
A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face.
The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand “Today my best friend slapped me in the face”.
They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone “Today my best friend saved my life”.
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, “After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?” The other friend replied “When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.”
Moral: Do not value the things you have in your life. But value who you have in your life.

Moral short story on Love
Poor Husband and Wife!!
One day Wife asked Husband to buy her comb so that she can grow her hair well and to be well groomed. Her husband couldn’t afford to buy her comb and felt sorry. He refused her and explained that he didn’t even have enough money to fix strap of his watch. After knowing this she didn’t insist on her request.
Next day, as husband was going for work, he passed by watch shop and went inside to sell his damage watch so that he can buy comb for his wife.
In evening he came home with comb for his wife and he was very happy to give this to his wife so that she can take better care of her long hairs. But to his surprise he saw that his wife cut short her hairs. That time he asked why she got her hairs cut short? She replied with a smile, ‘I sold my hairs and here is new strap for your watch.’
Tears came out from their eyes, not for futility of their actions but for the love they had for each other.
Moral: To love is something and to be loved is something but to love and to be loved in return is everything. So never take love for rant.
