There are two kinds of knowledge about culture:

1. Factual knowledge
2. Imperative knowledge
 
1. Factual knowledge: Different meaning of colors, different tastes and other traits indigenous to a culture are facts that a marketer can anticipate study absorb.

2. Imperative knowledge: An ability to understand and to appreciate fully the haunches of different culture traits and patterns. So that culture sensitivity and tolerance is required.
