Wireless Sensor Networks: the future of sensors

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) are spreading out quickly nowadays. They can be applied in most fields, from environmental monitoring to home and industrial automation. This session presents the main topics of these networks with special emphasis in energy and interoperability optimization. As an example, a WSN to be deployed in the Campus del Baix Llobregat, REALnet, will be presented.
