"Point of View" a short film by a DIU student Won Prize

You will be happy to learn that "Point of View "a short film by Syed Raihan-ul-Islam,  a student of English Department, Daffodil International University has won the First Prize in the 5th International Inter University Short Film Festival -2t011 organized by Dhaka University Film Society from May 15 to May 19, 2011 held at German Cultural Center (Goethe Institute).He is the story & script writer as Director of this short film.This film will be later get the opportunity to participate in German Short Film Festival which will be held in Germany.

Earlier his another short film " Taste of Smoke" achieved the great honor in 4th International Children's Film Festival 2011, Bangladesh which was held in Shawkat Osman Hall, Central Public Library, Shahabagh, Dhaka from January 22-28, 2011. This Festival is organized by " Children Film Society" and supported by UNICEF.

This Shot Film has been accepted as one of the 9 films by Bangladesh Panorama Section.

congratulation to Raihanul Islam! Really its wonderful that he won such a prestigious prize! I Hope that other students of DIU will be impressed by such efforts & they will try to explore their creative side. This type of news is very impressive for our young generation!
