"Taste of Smoke"-a short film by DIU Student achieved the great honor to show 4th International Children's Film Festival 2011

            
Syed Raihan-ul-Islam,  a student of English Department, Daffodil International University has achieved a great honor to show his short film " Taste of Smoke" in 4 th International Children's Film Festival 2011, Bangladesh which is going to be held in Shawkat Osman Hall, Central Public Library, Shahabagh, Dhaka from January 22-28, 2011. This Festival is organized by " Children Film Society" and supported by UNICEF.

This Shot Film has been accepted as one of the 9 films by Bangladesh Panorama Section.

Synopsis

Zarif is a boy of nine. Zarif has a curiosity about his fathers smoking. He followed his father how he tastes the cigarette. One day he steals a cigarett e from his father’s cigarette packets and then he tries to imitate his father’s style of talking with his wife and friends, while puffing cigarettes….

Few days later he starts to take the taste of real smoking…..

I've already watched the movie becoz the director himself is our student and wanted a criticism from my side. I was speechless for few moments after watchig the film. The story, it's making ,acting all are brilliant. Everybody especilly the smoker dads must watch the film . There's a true lesson for them. A big round of applause for our student Syed Raihan! I'm proud of u!
