Narrated Abu Huraira:
While the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) was saying something in a gathering, a Bedouin came and asked him, "When would the Hour (Doomsday) take place?" Allah's Messenger (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) continued his talk, so some people said that Allah's Messenger (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) had heard the question, but did not like what that Bedouin had asked. Some of them said that Allah's Messenger (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) had not heard it. When the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) finished his speech, he said, "Where is the questioner, who inquired about the Hour (Doomsday)?" The Bedouin said, "I am here, O Allah's Apostle ." Then the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "When honesty is lost, then wait for the Hour (Doomsday)." The Bedouin said, "How will that be lost?" The Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "When the power or authority comes in the hands of unfit persons, then wait for the Hour (Doomsday.)"
মুহাম্মদ ইব্ন সিনান (র) ও ইবরাহীম ইব্নুল মুনযির (র) ........ আবূ হুরায়রা (রা) থেকে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেনঃ একবার রাসূলুল্লাহ্ (সা) মজলিসে লোকদের সামনে কিছু আলোচনা করছিলেন। ইতিমধ্যে তাঁর কাছে একজন বেদু্ঈন এসে প্রশ্ন করলেন, ‘কিয়ামত কবে?’ রাসূলুল্লাহ্ (সা) তাঁর আলোচনায় রত রইলেন। এতে কেউ কেউ বললেন, লোকটি য বলেছে তিনি তা শুনেছেন কিন্তু তার কথা পছন্দ করেন নি। আর কেউ কেউ বললেন বরং তিনি শুনতেই পান নি। রাসূলুল্লাহ্ (সা) আলোচনা শেষ করে বললেনঃ ‘কিয়ামত সম্পর্কে প্রশ্নকারী লোকটি কোথয়?’ সে বলল, ‘এই যে আমি, ইয়া রাসূলুল্লাহ্!’ তিনি বললেনঃ ‘যখন আমানত নষ্ট করা হয় তখন কিয়ামতের প্রতীক্ষা করবে।’ সে বলল, ‘কিভাবে আমানত নষ্ট করা হয়?’ তিনি বললেনঃ ‘যখন কোন কাজের দায়িত্ব অনুপযুক্ত লোকের প্রতি ন্যস্ত হয়, তখন তুমি কিয়ামতের প্রতীক্ষা করবে।’
