Water logging Dhaka

Sheikh:
Recent water logging in Dhaka City has shown us the negative effect of not considering water as a important and fundamental element in the planning process. DAP (2005-2015), Dhaka structure plan (2016-2035) put some objectives,policies,implementation tools etc regarding a better Dhaka, which is rarely followed. Some steps from Govt. give us hope (Hazaribag Tannery shift, Central Jail shift etc.) but always the steps are taken around 15-20 years later of its desired time. Some drastic changes are required for the betterment of the city- revive all canals, water body, circular waterway, wide pedestrian walkway around the city, planned public transport etc.
