Test your Blood Group at home


Do you know your blood group. If you don’t know just follow simple 10 step and know what is your blood group.


Reagents & instrument required

1. Anti-Serum (anti-A, anti-B, anti-D)
2. Saline Water (NaCl)
3. Slide (Labeled A/B/D)
4. Needle
5. Cotton
6. Alcohol


[Now Its question where you get Reagents & instrument. If  you are live in Dhaka you can collect  Anti-Serum (anti-A, anti-B, anti-D) from Hathkhola & Elephant Road, and some  popular Pharmacy in Shabag or Aziz Super Market. Saline Water (NaCl) solution can made in home using just salt & Pure Water.]


Procedure

1. Clean your hand in tap water,

2. Choose your finger where you collect your blood. [NB: You Can Use Any Part Of Your Body But Finger is easy to used]

3. Clean your finger with alcohol.

4. Which needle you used for penetration in your finger sterilize (জীবানু মুক্ত করণ) this.

5. Penetration in your finger & collect Blood

6. Place 1 drop of your blood in separated three slides.

7. Place 1 drop of your Saline water in separated three slides.

8. Place 1 drops of anti-A, 1 drop of anti-B, 1 drop of anti-D reagent separately on a labeled slide. Mix the cells and reagent using a clean stick. Spread each mixture evenly on the slide over an area of 10-15 mm diameter.

9. Tilt the slide and leave the test for 2 minutes at room temperature (22°-24°C). Then rock again and look for agglutination.

10. Record the results as shown as picture.



Result observation

1.   When Antigen D slide Coagulation (জমাট বাধা) (Antigen & Antibody Reaction) then Blood group will Positive .other wise it’s negative.
2.   When  Antigen A slide Coagulation then Blood group will A group
3.   When  Antigen B slide Coagulation then Blood group will B group
4.   When  Antigen A & B  slide Coagulation then Blood group will AB group
5.   When  Antigen A & B  slide not Coagulation then Blood group will O group
