Please expand the vacation time for “Eid-ul-Azha”-2011

Dear Everybody,

According to the official notice on Sat, Oct 29, 2011 at 1:33 PM by mail we got the information about the vacation time for "Eid-ul-Azha".

All Academic and Administrative activities of Daffodil International University will remain closed from 6th to 8th November 2011 on the occasion of holy “Eid-ul-Azha”. It is about only 3 days. But it even can destroy the taste of 'Eid-ul-Azha'. Isn't it? It's my personal opinion. But I think most of the students will support me in this case.

Because many of our students are from outside of Dhaka City. So I don't know even how they will manage their trip to home. They really need to see their father, mother, brothers, sisters. And everybody want to share his/her EID feelings with each of his nearest/dearest persons.

But ONLY 3 (three) DAYS vacation is not enough. And I hope our DIU authority will consider this issue. Really I am shocked to get this notice by email.

Please we should get minimum 7 (seven) days vacation for 'EID-ul-Azha'. Because it is 'EID-ul-Azha' not EID-ul-Fitr. So we hope our authority can feel our problem.

I am waiting to get reply regarding this issue.

It should be more than 5 days .Because most of our students are from outside Dhaka. If it will only three day vacation ,they have to return to Dhaka after Eid day. How is it possible?????

Yap you are it is not enough time for "Eid-ul-Azha". We need minimum 7 days vacation for spending our time with our family in HOLY EID.

This is a great regards that, we get declaration of EID holiday only for three days (6th to 8th November). It causes of hurts to all of the students including me . As we know most of our friends are from so far away Dhaka include me. How we will enjoy Eid vacation ??? It is quite impossible to make this vacation enjoyable . We think that it is sorrow for all ( including academic & administrative ),
So, our earnest request to expand the vacation (if possible) time minimum one week from 03 day....... thank you....

I think there are no problems for the major students. The Mid-term exam will be end within 03/11/11 before this date some departments exam will be end. Students will leave Dhaka just the day the exam will be end. So, there are enough time share the joy of Eid.
After the Eid, our university will be open 8th November. 8th November is Tuesday. I think this can be expanding for 2 days more. So that, we can join our class from begin of the week.
But we should keep in mind that authority knows better than us.
