DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ??????

Ethnicity vs Culture

The color of the skin and facial features has long been a basis of classification of human beings. No matter how much advancement may have taken place, it is natural for most of us to make stereotypes and base our behavior towards a person on his appearance and his racial affinities. This is more pronounced in the Western world or among whites, though discrimination based on color of skin is common in all parts of the world. Sociologists worldwide have always been fascinated by racial, cultural and ethnic differences between different people. The words ethnicity and culture have always been confused by people and often used interchangeably though there are many differences between the two. This article aims to set things right by highlighting the differences of ethnicity and culture.

Ethnicity

We are born in one or the other country in the world, and that is our place of birth, but the race of our parents has become the basis of our identity, as our ethnicity is decided based on our racial roots. For example, a person may be born to a Hispanic couple in US and the person will have citizenship of US. However, his ethnicity remains Hispanic or one having roots in Latin American countries like Spain or Mexico. The word ethnic is derived from the Greek ethnos that literally means foreign people. In the modern world, the word ethnicity is used to refer to racial affinities of a person and not necessarily as a derogatory word.

Culture

Within each ethnic group, there are beliefs, values, norms, and practices that are learnt and shared. Even, thinking, decision-making, and actions within a particular ethnic group seem to be in a patterned way. This set of beliefs, values and customs are passed down from a generation to another and is thus preserved in a manner more complex than even the most modern electronic storage system. Shared practices and values provide a sense of identification and belongingness to the members of the group, which keep a culture alive, and allow it to survive. Culture of a race or ethnic group is reflected in the common heritage, which is personified in the art and artifacts, language, sense of dressing and eating habits of a people.

Ethnicity or culture both have been pronounced and addressed since when people started to consider themselves as  developed  and educated nation. But the consequence is disparity in human civilization and people's recognition. Then, the question may arise that whether we are educated or civilized. We all know that we don't have any role on our birth in spite of knowing this fact we have different views to different people based on our culture or ethnicity. In the same time, we think that we are educated. Actually our thinking process has constraint due to our limited knowledge. People love debating with limited knowledge. We know that an empty vessel sounds more.  So, to solve it we have to open our mind to gain knowledge to develop our views. We all are human beings, whether black or white, tall or short, Muslims or Christians, Germans or Asians or so on.

Who will start to open his / her mind?

At first, let me start to learn the truth................................

One day disparity will be minimized and we will discover ourselves as a human being equal in every aspect and we will respect all except those who are inhuman and gluttonous.

Yes Sir

You are right that every human to gather lots of knowledge and try to utilize a proper way then disparity may be minimized as well. We human have to know the value and manner whatever the religion matter. Religion can not tell that "go and destroy everything". This is the Evils quote. So we have to identify our self by our real human characteristics and honest for all things. Everyday morning and night say thanks to the Almighty for his or her alive with good or bad experiences.

Values vs Ethics

Man is a social animal and his actions and behaviors are governed by the society he lives in. Every person has values and ethics he believes in and his behavior is guided to a great extent by these values and ethics. Those who do not understand the difference between values and ethics use these words almost interchangeably. Though there is no denying the fact that there are similarities in the two concepts but there are differences also that cannot be overlooked and this article intends to highlight these differences.

Values

Values are beliefs that a person holds about things and aspects of life. These are guiding principles that mould his behavior all his life. Mostly the values a person holds are developed by the company he keeps and the first values he learns are from his parents. Later on he is taught more about values in school. Societies have different value systems and people living in these societies are guided by these values. For example in the US, the values of liberty and freedom hold great significance and the behavior and actions of people in the society are guided by these values. Values are guiding principles and when a person is in a dilemma as to what direction he should take at any particular moment in his life, it is these values that guide his action and behavior.
People also have their own value systems which act as the lens through which they view the world around them and make judgments based upon this value system. This makes the situation complex as when there is contradiction between what are values fo the society and personal values held by a person.

Ethics

Ethics are codes of conduct that decide what is wrong and what is right in a particular circumstance. These are also known as morals and are a result of evolution of mankind. When these ethics were not in place, no human behavior could be categorized as good or bad which is what led to the development of these standards to guide human behavior in a society. In early phases of their development, these ethics were known as taboos that were designed to save men from dangers. Slowly and gradually these were formalized and became accepted forms of behavior. In different societies, there are different sets of ethics though there are some morals that are considered to be universal and are accepted as such in all societies. Ethics are unwritten rules that people of a nation or employees of an organization abide by.

Each an every person should have definite sense of values as well as ethics. Ethics does not mean what is socially right; it means what is morally right. Our values are formed with the combination of culture, family background, primary school and even our childhood friends or experiences or practicing religion may be the format is wrong. Ethics is widely accepted than values.

The LCD television is a flat-panel television which utilizes a Liquid Crystal Display technology. It has two layers of glass which are polarized and stuck together. The liquid crystals are held in one of the layers. These liquid crystals pass, or block the light, to produce images on the screen when the electric current passes through it.

However, the crystals do not produce their own light. The light comes from the series of fluorescent lamps at the back of the screen. There are millions of shutters arranged in a grid, which open and close to release and trap some of the light that is not needed to create images. Then each shutter is paired with a colored filter which produces a sub-pixel. These are so small, that when they combine, they create a single pixel, which appears to be a single spot of color on the screen. With the help of the fluorescent lamps, the images created by the liquid crystals become visible to the viewer.

LCD television produces high image quality. They can be made very thin, which makes them less space-consuming, and the user can hang them anywhere. This makes them appealing to buyers.

LED TV’s are actually very much like LCD TV’s. They also have a flat-screen which utilizes Liquid Crystal Display technology. The only difference is their source of light, which is at the back of the screen. The LCD TV uses fluorescent lamps, and the LED TV uses LED (Light Emitting Diodes).

There are two types of LED back-lighting. One is referred to as Edge lighting, and the other is called Full-Array lighting. With the Edge lighting, the series of diodes are arranged along the outside edges of the screen. When there is power, the light is distributed across the screen. Alternatively, in Full-Array lighting, there are several rows of diodes behind the entire surface of the screen. They provide more control over brightness and dimming, because the diodes can be turned on and off independently.

LED TV’s are LCD TV’s with a new backlight system. They are newly developed for LCD’s, because Light Emitting Diodes are said to give more balance in color saturation, and use less power than the fluorescent lamps. LED TV’s are the newest version, and that’s why they are currently more expensive than the standard LCD TV’s.

Please know some important issue about Different between???  Read the following differences..

What is the difference between Bypass and Open Heart Surgery?

• Open heart surgery denotes a term, which has access to the heart and the composite tissues involved. Bypass graft (CABG) denotes the procedure being conducted.
• Open heart surgeries can be either elective or emergency procedures. CABG is usually an elective procedure.
• Open heart surgery may or may not require a heart and lung machine, and CABG usually requires a heart and lung machine.
• Both thee operations are life saving measures. Both these conditions require medications post operatively along with physiotherapy to bring the cardiovascular efficiency back.
• CABG requires long-term management of the person with control of co morbid factors with diet, exercise and drugs. However, this is not the requirement always in open heart surgery.
• Open-heart procedures can be done in the field, if required, in the case of an emergency, but a CABG is usually done in a hospital theatre setting.
