Narrated `Abdullah bin 'Abi Qatada:

My fathe said, "The Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, 'When I stand for prayer, I intend to prolong it but on hearing the cries of a child, I cut it short, as I dislike to trouble the child's mother.' "

আবু কাতাদা (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত, নবী (করীম সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম) বলেন, আমি অনেক সময় দীর্ঘ করে সালাত আদায়ের ইচ্ছা নিয়ে দাঁড়াই। পরে শিশুর কান্নাকাটি শুনে সালাত সংক্ষেপ করি। কারন আমি পছন্দ করি না যে, শিশুর মাকে কষ্টে ফেলি।
