Rudy Giuliani is the Founder & Chairman of Giuliani Partners, a political activist, and a best selling author on topic of leadership.  He is a former Presidential candidate, US Attorney, and two term Mayor of New York City, and was credited with initiating improvements in the city's quality of life and with a reduction in crime.  Giuliani gained international attention for his leadership, during and after the September 11th, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center. In 2001, Mr. Giuliani was named Time Magazine's Person of the Year.
What Changed for 2010: Even post election, Mr. Giuliani is a force in the world of leadership. His straight forward, if not provocative approach continue to make him a favorite in the media and on the speaking circuit.

Jim Collins is a frequent speaker and author on the subjects of business and leadership. He is a student and teacher of enduring great companies -- how they grow, how they attain superior performance, and how good companies can become great companies. Having invested over a decade of research into the topic, Jim has authored or co-authored four books, including the classic BUILT TO LAST, and GOOD TO GREAT. His work has been featured in Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Harvard Business Review, and Fast Company.
What Changed for 2010: Even though Mr. Collins was not as active with current works in 2009 as some of the other members of our list, the significance that his collective body or works has had on the leadership is truly staggering. For this reason Jim Collins held his position at number 12 on our 2010 list of Top Leadershp Experts.

Tom Peters is one of the foremost business thinkers of our time. Fortune compares him to Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Walt Whitman, and H.L. Mencken. The Economist tagged him the “Uber-guru”—and BusinessWeek’s take on his “unconventional views” led them to label him “business’s best friend and worst nightmare.” Tom Peters is a frequent speaker and author on topic of business and leadership.
What Changed for 2010: There is simply more competition in the leadership space than there used to be, and Mr. Peters has been a casualty of the proliferation of more active players in this space. That said, he has a new book due out this year, and we're sure his independence, authenticity, candor and knowledge will keep him on our list for years to come.

Dr. Warren Bennis is one of the nation's foremost authorities on leadership, organizational development, and change. Since 1979, Dr. Bennis has served as University Professor and Distinguished Professor of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. He considers that he has entered a truly generative stage in his life, one in which he pursues his greatest joy, writing, while also mentoring and taking pleasure in "people growing."
What Changed for 2010: While Dr. Bennis is not as active as he once was, no list of leadership experts is credible without noting the individual who originally developed the practice area of leadership as a discipline. His contributions to the profession and his collective body of works is more than enough to maintain his position as number 15 on our 2010 list of Top Leadership Experts.

Meg Whitman has a passion for business, leadership, and for helping people achieve their dreams. Her 30-year career includes helping companies, such as Stride Rite, Bain & Company and Procter & Gamble, and working on much-loved brands, such as Mr. Potato Head, Keds and Barney. At FTD, she helped a network of florists strengthen their business networks. And at Hasbro and Disney, she helped spark the imaginations of children and encouraged them to live to their full potential with educational toys, shows and programs. In 1998, she joined a start-up company in Silicon Valley. At the time, few people could see the potential in a company with 30 employees and a little over $4 million in revenue. But Meg did. She was inspired by what she saw -- a company dedicated to helping millions of people reach their goals of launching and building their own businesses. And she knew. This was the company for her. The rest is history...What Changed in 2010: Ms. Whitman has placed her corporate interests aside for the time being and is focused on her gubernatorial campaign in the State of California. Her reputation, contributions and continued impact on the field of leadership have kept her on our 2010 list.
