At a Glance-The Best Measure of Center
« on: May 31, 2012, 01:21:58 PM »
So far, we have considered the mean, median, mode, and midrange as measures of center. Which one of these is best? Unfortunately, there is no single best answer to that question because there are no objective criteria for determining the most representative measure for all data sets. The different measures of center have different advantages and disadvantages, some of which are summarized in the attached file.
