Raise your voice against Eve Teasing/Sexual Harassment.

Had the opportunity of attending a Seminar at the Main Campus, chaired by our Chairman Sir and VC Sir. It was aimed at making clear that no issues of Eve Teasing or any such harassment issues will be tolerated in and around our University Campuses. Let us all be aware, be it a female or a male student/employee/faculty/administrative official, never feel hesitant to raise your complaint.
For Uttara Campus, you guys can directly contact with any of us Faculties, with Diljeb Kabir Bhai or even our Academic Coordinator Prof. Dr. Abul Hossain Sir. You can also contact with our Assistant Registrar Kamrun Nahar Ma'm or even communicate with Chairman Sir as well.
We will keep your identity secret and take initiatives to punish the harasser with accordance.
Let us all be respectful of others, as well as uphold ourselves in such a way that no one can have the chance of becoming an oppressor.

yes shibli bhai your complement really appreciable further when we are trying for becoming a human rather than man or woman in this beautiful world. My salute to the authority and the mam too without delay.

I am sure we are growing with humanitarian qualities together at DIU considering every moment as a part of our living history.

The way an eve teaser can be caught is if passers by who witness him indulging in such an act react. Every person caught eve teasing should be dealt with in all harshness and there should not be any lenience for first time offenders. The best way to prevent inflexible eve teasers who experiment is to produce them before their family and unmask their true instincts. The sense of shame will ensure that they never resort to such a thing again and further this will serve as a severe warning for others who even think of indulging in it.

Who are mainly responsible for eve teasing? Yes, it is the male. But have you ever thought deeply about the root causes of eve teasing?

1. Misuse of internet and the influence of satellite channels have made some boys of this generation perverted and aggressive and changed the mentality of the girls. Some girls are more desperate than ever before in dress-up, get-up and attitude.   

2. Parents are responsible for not being able to inculcate values and ethics in their children. Some parents are too busy to give even a single minute for their sons and daughters. 

Our duties:

1. Free-mixing DANCES/Programs mingling with boys and girls in the name of DJ party and others must be stopped.

2. Parents should take care of their children where and with whom their children are passing time. They must not allow them to spend nights in friends' houses without dire emergency lest their sons and daughters might be spoiled.

3. Parents whose children are living in hostels and halls should be extra cautious about their children. Many of the boys and girls whose parents live far away go to the astray due to bad company.

4. We cannot stop eve teasing by punishment. Only punishment is a wrong strategy to overcome this common phenomenon. Awareness should be created. Girls should be encouraged to wear decent dress-up. They must be taught not to allow any boys to touch them. It is commonly observed that some girls of this generation touch and embrace boys (their class mates) in the first place, but when the boys take advantage of this attitude, girls file objection against it. Many girls openly touch their boy classmates' hands, arms, thighs, heads, hairs, necks, body but the problem arises when their counterparts (boys) do the same to them.
On the other hand, boys should be instructed to respect girls because it is, because of them, we have seen the light of the earth. 

Hope everybody will think about my observation deeply.
