Common Forum / How to respect our Language Movement...
« on: February 03, 2009, 12:24:50 PM »
I differ with the idea of respecting our language by writing Bangla all the month long of February. Rather we should try to explore our culture and heritage to the international world by practicing and communicating international language to let them know more about our language movement and achievement all the month long. I request not to stop international language practice in the name of the month February! This is another catalyst for our students to escape English learning at least for one month! So let's promote English as much as possible! Much have been done so far, it's the time to drive us to the international world!! Please do not escape, come forward, join the race......

Use of Forum / Re: we want bangla section
« on: January 29, 2009, 04:09:24 PM »
No doubt we love our country and language but we can't ignore the necessity of English in this modern world. Specially when we have been trying to develop a English speaking community at DIU for a long time, but writing and speaking English has not yet got expected momentum. This is because of the reluctant mood of our authority as well as the Bangla background of us. But things should take a superdrive because we people need to enter into the competitive job market. There is no way but having language and computer skills. As we love Bangla, we need to be more expert in English to establish our country and language among the global societies. In my opinion, time has not yet come to drive with Bangla in forums like it rather than the international language. And we should not forget, the word "International" stands inside the name of our university! So please, start writing and speaking as much as possible in English. There will certainly be many mistakes and errors but we should not care; we are not Englishmen, we just want communication skills! Practicing Bangla will cease that opportunity of Englsih practice even in emails and forums. Almost all the day long we have been with our beloved Bangla. I believe, the more you practice English, the more skill of expression you receive in both Bangla and English. This is the findings of our language experts. So please join the English speaking community of DIU............change the tradition!!!

Debate Forum / Let's talk Debate....
« on: January 29, 2009, 03:45:55 PM »
DIUDC has come across a long way..... and now being recognized as one of the leading debating club. This club has organized and participated in a number of debate programs and gained significant momentum. Even we are proud to say that they had won against Dhaka University Debating club. A set of students and teachers made this success by their dedication and passion. But unfortunately they couldn't bring very optimistic result in English debate so far. Still we are lacking some standard English debaters. What could we do to uplift the English language skill, both writing and Spoken, as well as build a competitive English debate team of DIU?

Please join the debate club and make DIU distinct.....

BBA Discussion Forum / What to do to be best?
« on: January 28, 2009, 04:32:34 PM »
We want our DIU to be the best university in Bangladesh. What else should we do to reach that target? Do you think the student facilities are adequate comparing the cost of education with other renowned universities? If not, could you please give us a comparative study? According to you, what should be our priority work?

Just feel free to express yourself!!
