Creative Writing / একদিন আমি তুমি হব।
« on: February 26, 2020, 05:41:13 PM »

Creative Writing / Stream of Consciousness (Part 1)

Stream of Consciousness
(Part 1)
I see your sepia picture, not you.
The place I am inclined to.
Like an absurd play
You denied the clock time.
Not your time I'm searching for
The bilateral paths, the bird-left trees
Haunting my memory lane.
Found it
In my old dream tonight.
Google map kept it unseen
Hidden in my left hemisphere.
Watched from a high balcony
Looked like a ghost abandoned graveyard
Beside the Shatmasjid
As it looked in 1980.
A marshy land I had to pass
To reach where you were once.
Was not surprised a bit to see
Some half-done mughal forts
Placed in the panorama view.
Went there but my feet didn’t touch
The crinkle and axes of the path.
I reckon your ghost, with me
Showing me the path smilingly.

Creative Writing / Marriage: The Golden Cage for Women
« on: February 26, 2020, 05:39:24 PM »
Marriage: The Golden Cage for Women
MONDAY, APRIL 10, 201747 Reads
Why marriage is or has become a golden cage for women?
From the childhood, it is a door of unlimited hopes and huge expectations for women. But after entering into the door, she considers it as a forbidden fruit. She is thrown out from heaven(her parents’ home) to down to earth. Sooner or later she realizes that. She is now tagged with someone. She is no more the virgin angel or apple of eye before her wooers. Yes, as man is in higher degree than angel, she is in a higher stage as a married woman than a single girl. How much higher is decided by the qualification of her husband’s, not hers.
But why this is “Golden” cage? Golden comes from gold. The gold is a very crucial thing for measuring her value as a bride. Questions arise like: how much did she get from her parents? How much from the in-laws? The gold as a property turns into the propriety that she wears after her marriage. Though she thought it the symbol of love or status before marriage, it is the chain she wears in. This gold turns herself to a property to her husband. If any piece of it is lost, it is considered as omen for her conjugal life.
Now I am answering why the term “cage” comes in. Never think that it means marriage is creating barrier in her life. It is cage for those who makes it a cage for her. After marriage she considers herself a different person. A different “I” has come into her. She bounds herself in the love of her husband and in the social decorum or tradition which is imposed on her as her mother or other female relatives are maintaining them as the rule for hundreds of years. She can’t break through it. Her compromises starts from the small wishes and reaches to the bigger dreams. She changes her dream as she change her address. She changes her skin like changing dresses. Her skin should be thicker now as she has to tolerate the negative words from her new family members. She need to wear new mask as she need to hide her tears and show smiling face. She need to be grateful always to her husband and submissive too. She can’t raise her voice of objection, even for any unjust decision. She may not get appreciation or even recognition for her work but she should always be on service. She should wear the shoes of her husband and follow her footsteps. If she can’t play the role properly, she will be humiliated everywhere. Being different, being outspoken is a sin to her. She needs to row her boat on upstream but not downstream.
All these can be true for women from either rich or poor classes, from either educated or uneducated people, for either rural or urban women, for either women with child or without child. Women are taken for granted for some men. They think if they want they can leave one and get another. If things go wrong, the last thing that woman think about is divorce. Even if the husband forces her, she avoids it by her all means. She rather compromise from her best and makes her expectation level zero. Being s divorcee is like being untouchable in the society. The women may be brave enough to do any risky job in her profession. But she is mostly frightened by being the issue of gossip to the other women. She rather consider to run the conjugal life somehow. May be she is higher in position than her husband but she is always bound to lower her place beside her husband if she wants peace. But some women get the right proportion of love, respect and care from their husband the the things mentioned above don’t happen to them. They are lucky indeed.

Unanimous Scribbling 1
January 19, 2014 at 11:06pm
It shakes you
Breaks your slumber
Wakes you up from dream

Restless mind
Aimless brain
Fight each other
And cause you pain

It makes you alert
Things falling apart
Someone inside you, screaming
Hold your center
Hold! Hold!
Be bold

Don't let it go
It is Time.

Creative Writing / Curse you, Beauty!

Curse you, Beauty!
June 27, 2014 at 12:58pm
Bare your beauty
Show your grace
Share your smile
And lovely face.

Eyes surround you
Brimmed in admire
Praisess submerge like
Untouchable snare.

See! your foot print
covered with petals
Petals that are crying,
Parted and torn.

Tempt you to be
Illicit queen of a city
Yet to usurp
Far to see.

O lady! Behold your joy
Be careful and stop your coy
Claws surround everywhere
To seize your joy.

Beauty erects pleasure
Love –in-idleness makes you drunk
Locks your moral
Raise devilish desire.

Bear the truth, though bitter and harsh
Beauty is nothing but a curse.

Creative Writing / Tales of F

Tales of F
May 27, 2014 at 2:24pm
F,
Here you are
Between vowel and consonant
Forever you are, constant?
Like a signpost to Follow
Signalling what?
To the Forest, Fountain or Field?
To the palace, in Fab, in Feast?

You came to me when
I was born
In February.
You stands
One foot stamped
Like a broken E.
Frail to see
But Free.
Free from Fear.
Fear to Fly
Fear to Faint
You have not.

I Find you in Faith.
In my Fasting,
In my Forgiveness,
In my Freedom,
In my Friend,
In my Family,
In my Future,
In My Faith.

I Follow you,
But you are lost.
In a Flickering sound
I hear,
Fair is Foul
Foul is Fair.

You come again
In Flamboyant Fleshes,
In many Fair Faces,
In Fame with Fissure
In Facebook.
Too Front to see
Too Far to know.
You come with Facades
With Frivolous Flirt,
Far from Feeling
Far from Faith.

I cannot Fight with you,
Finish you, curse you,
Flap you, slap you with Fff...!

What for you
To be blamed?
My Faith, may be
Frozen now.
In Fantasy it glided for long
In Fairyland, it heard a song.

You stands and
Follow the rest
Not to Favor us.

But we, to Figure out
Fair from Foul
Foul from Fair.

Creative Writing / Urban Experience
« on: February 26, 2020, 05:34:37 PM »

 It is an urban experience
When you can’t separate
Faces, old or new
But leave behind
And say, “Keep in touch”.
Yes, technology keeps us, touches too.
But can’t remind us how it feels
To Say Goodbye.

It is an urban experience
When you are stuck in traffic
To let your demo-crazy
Sorry, democracy ruler pass,
When you envy or desire
To be a dummy
In an elite showroom.

It is an urban experience
When a lady leaves her seat
For a mother holding a child
And men on the bus, watching
And feeling safe,
Seated not on “ladies-seat”.

It is an urban experience,
When you walk beside
The Prime Minister Office
Barefooted, at 10 pm.
Yes, there are police at every point
Not for your security
But for the democracy.

It is an urban experience,
When you search a place
But get that not by postal address
Advertising billboards or banners
Catch your eyes to names,
Not missing address, unless
You have microscopic eyes.

It is an urban experience
When you get too much before the wish
Either for heat or raindrops,
As tiny drops land on
And turn into a giant flood.

It is an urban experience,
When your writing is
Shown in the gallery, and
You hardly call it poetry.
But at the end of the day
You selfish mind opens up
And receives something
An experience or a poetry.

Creative Writing / I CANNOT SEND YOU THIS FLOWER
« on: February 26, 2020, 05:33:18 PM »

Many of them I saw, lying on concrete
Like yellow eyes winking at me,
Deformed by the busy passing feet.
But one I see, fresh in glee.

Calling me like you, pick up! pick me up!
Stuck me with pictures, now so blur,
Lost memories came, like you are.

Will get the flower?
All on a sudden, send it to you?
Frighten you with my love or ignorance?

But I passed it, left it alone
Like time passed me,
And left you nowhere
Neither hope nor forlorn.
