A three-day science fair at the Bangladesh Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) began on Thursday, January 25, 2018.

Young scientists from different schools, colleges and science clubs are participating in the fair, with 177 projects on display.

Minister for Science and Technology Yafes Osman inaugurated the fair as chief guest, while Anwar Hossain, secretary to the Ministry Science and Technology, and Dr Pran Gopal Datta, former VC of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, were also present as special guests.

“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has provided the environment, infrastructure and necessary funds for scientific research. With the establishment of modern laboratories, world-class research is being conducted,” the minister said.
