One full-time Ph.D. research assistantship position available within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Louisiana State University (LSU). The successful candidate will conduct research on development of electrochemical systems for renewable energy recovery and sustainable wastewater treatment (http://sites01.lsu.edu/faculty/xzhu/).
Candidates with backgrounds in environmental science and engineering, chemistry, and material science and engineering are encouraged to contact Dr. Xiuping Zhu (xzhu@lsu.edu) with a brief statement of personal interest, CV/resume, a copy of all transcripts, GRE and TOFEL/IELTS scores. The environmental engineering program at LSU has six full time faculty with a comprehensive coverage of various environmental research topics and highly accessible research facility resources at the department and university levels. The Ph.D. student will have ample opportunities to collaborate with microbiologists, electrochemists, mineralogist and will have change to perform research at national laboratory facilities.
