Narrated Abu Huraira:
The people said, "O Allah's Apostle! Shall we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?" He replied, "Do you have any doubt in seeing the full moon on a clear (not cloudy) night?" They replied, "No, O Allah's Apostle!" He said, "Do you have any doubt in seeing the sun when there are no clouds?" They replied in the negative. He said, "You will see Allah (your Lord) in the same way. On the Day of Resurrection, people will be gathered and He will order the people to follow what they used to worship. So some of them will follow the sun, some will follow the moon, and some will follow other deities; and only this nation (Muslims) will be left with its hypocrites. Allah will come to them and say, 'I am Your Lord.' They will say, 'We shall stay in this place till our Lord comes to us and when our Lord will come, we will recognize Him. Then Allah will come to them again and say, 'I am your Lord.' They will say, 'You are our Lord.' Allah will call them, and As-Sirat (a bridge) will be laid across Hell and I (Muhammad) shall be the first amongst the Apostles to cross it with my followers. Nobody except the Apostles will then be able to speak and they will be saying then, 'O Allah! Save us. O Allah Save us.'
There will be hooks like the thorns of Sa'dan in Hell. Have you seen the thorns of Sa'dan?" The people said, "Yes." He said, "These hooks will be like the thorns of Sa'dan but nobody except Allah knows their greatness in size and these will entangle the people according to their deeds; some of them will fall and stay in Hell forever; others will receive punishment (torn into small pieces) and will get out of Hell, till when Allah intends mercy on whomever He likes amongst the people of Hell, He will order the angels to take out of Hell those who worshipped none but Him alone. The angels will take them out by recognizing them from the traces of prostrations, for Allah has forbidden the (Hell) fire to eat away those traces. So they will come out of the Fire, it will eat away from the whole of the human body except the marks of the prostrations. At that time they will come out of the Fire as mere skeletons. The Water of Life will be poured on them and as a result they will grow like the seeds growing on the bank of flowing water. Then when Allah had finished from the Judgments amongst his creations, one man will be left between Hell and Paradise and he will be the last man from the people of Hell to enter paradise. He will be facing Hell, and will say, 'O Allah! Turn my face from the fire as its wind has dried me and its steam has burnt me.' Allah will ask him, "Will you ask for anything more in case this favor is granted to you?' He will say, "No by Your (Honor) Power!" And he will give to his Lord (Allah) what he will of the pledges and the covenants. Allah will then turn his face from the Fire. When he will face Paradise and will see its charm, he will remain quiet as long as Allah will. He then will say, 'O my Lord! Let me go to the gate of Paradise.' Allah will ask him, 'Didn't you give pledges and make covenants (to the effect) that you would not ask for anything more than what you requested at first?' He will say, 'O my Lord! Do not make me the most wretched, amongst Your creatures.' Allah will say, 'If this request is granted, will you then ask for anything else?' He will say, 'No! By Your Power! I shall not ask for anything else.' Then he will give to his Lord what He will of the pledges and the covenants. Allah will then let him go to the gate of Paradise. On reaching then and seeing its life, charm, and pleasure, he will remain quiet as long as Allah wills and then will say, 'O my Lord ! Let me enter Paradise.' Allah will say, May Allah be merciful unto you, O son of Adam! How treacherous you are! Haven't you made covenants and given pledges that you will not ask for anything more that what you have been given?' He will say, 'O my Lord! Do not make me the most wretched amongst Your creatures.' So Allah will laugh and allow him to enter Paradise and will ask him to request as much as he likes. He will do so till all his desires have been fulfilled . Then Allah will say, 'Request more of such and such things.' Allah will remind him and when all his desires and wishes; have been fulfilled, Allah will say "All this is granted to you and a similar amount besides." Abu Said Al-Khudri, said to Abu Huraira, 'Allah's Apostle said, "Allah said, 'That is for you and ten times more like it.' "Abu Huraira said, "I do not remember from Allah's Apostle except (his saying), 'All this is granted to you and a similar amount besides." Abu Sahd said, "I heard him saying, 'That is for you and ten times more the like of it."
আবূ হুরায়রা (রা.) থেকে বর্ণিত যে, সাহাবীগণ নবী (সাঃ) কে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, ইয়া রাসূলাল্লাহ্! আমরা কি কিয়ামতের দিন আমাদের রবকে দেখতে পাব? তিনি বললেনঃ মেঘমুক্ত পূর্ণিমার রাতের চাঁদকে দেখার ব্যাপারে তোমরা কি সন্দেহ পোষণ কর? তাঁরা বললেন, না ইয়া রাসূলাল্লাহ! তিনি বললেন, মেঘমুক্ত আকাশে সূর্য দেকার ব্যাপারে কি তোমাদের কোন সন্দেহ আছে? সবাই বললেন, না। তখন তিনি বললেনঃ নিঃসন্দেহে তোমারও আল্লাহ্ তা’আলা বলবেন, যে যার উপাসনা করত সে যেন তার অনুসরণ করে। তাই তাদের কেউ সূর্যের অনুসরণ করবে, কেউ চন্দ্রের অনুসরণ করবে, কেউ তাগুতের অনুসরণ করবে। আর অবশিষ্ট থাকবে শুধুমাত্র এ উম্মাহ, তবে তাদের সাথে মুনাফিকরাও থাকবে। তাঁদের মাঝে এ সময় আল্লাহ্ তা’আলা শুভাগমন করবেন এবং বলবেনঃ “আমি তোমাদের রব।” তখন তারা বলবে, যতক্ষণ পযন্ত আমাদের রবের শুভাগমন না হবে, ততক্ষণ আমরা এখানেই থাকব। আর তার যখন শুভাগমন হবে তখন আমরা অবশ্যই তাঁকে চিনতে পারব। তখন তাদের মাঝে মহান পরাক্রমশালী আল্লাহ্ তা’আলা আগমন করবেন এবং বলবেন, “আমি তোমাদের রব।” তারা বলবে হ্যাঁ, আপনিই আমাদের রব। আল্লাহ তা’আলা তাদের ডাকবেন। আর জাহান্নামের উপর একটি সেতুপথ (পুলসিরাত) স্থাপন করা হবে। রাসূলগণের মধ্যে আমিই সবার আগে আমার উম্মত নিয়ে এ পথ অতিক্রম করব। সেদিন রাসূলগণ ব্যতীত আর কেউ কথা বলবে না। আর রাসূলগণের কথা হবেঃ ‘.....................’ (আল্লাহুম্মা সাল্লিম সাল্লিম) ইয়া আল্লাহ্ রক্ষা করুন, রক্ষা করুন। আর জাহান্নামে বাঁকা লোহার বহু শলাকা থাকবে; সেগুলো হবে সা’দান কাঁটার মতো। তোমরা কি সাদান কাঁটা দেখেছ? তারা বলবে, হ্যাঁ দেখেছি। তিনি বলবেন, সেগুলো দেখতে সা’দান কাঁটার মতোই। তবে সেগুলো কত বড় হবে তা একমাত্র আল্লাহ্ ব্যতীত আর কেউ জনানে না। সে কাঁটা লোকের আমল অনুযায়ী তাদের তড়িৎ গতিতে ধরবে। তাদের কিছু লোক ধ্বংস হবে আমলের কারণে। আর কারোর পায়ে যখম হবে, কিছু লোকট কাঁটায় আক্রান্ত হবে, তারপর নাজাত পেয়ে যাবে। জাহান্নামীদের থেকে যাদের প্রতি আল্লাহ্ পাক রহমত করতে ইচ্ছা করেবন, তাদের ব্যাপারে ফিরিশতাগণকে নির্দেশ দেবেন যে যারার আল্লাহর ইবাদত করত, তাদের যেন জাহান্নাম থেকে বের করে আনা হয়। ফিরিশতাগণ তাদের বের করে আনবেন এবং সিজদার চিহ্ন দেখে তাঁরা তাদের চিনতে পারবেন। কেননা, আল্লাহ্ তা’আলা জাহান্নামের জন্য সিজদার চিহ্নগুলো মিটিয়ে দেওয়া হারাম করে দিয়েছেন। ফলে তাদের জাহান্নাম থেকে বের করে আনা হবে। কাজেই সিজদার চিহ্ন ছাড়া আগুন বনী আদমের সব কিছুই গ্রাস করে ফেলবে। অবশেষে, তাদেরকে অঙ্গারে পরিণত অবস্থায় জাহান্নাম থেকে বের করা হবে। তাদের উপর ‘আবে-হায়াত’ ঢেলে দেওয়া হবে ফলে তারা স্রোতে বাহিত ফেনার উপর গজিয়ে উঠা উদ্ভিদের মত সঞ্জীবিত হয়ে উঠবে। এরপর আল্লাহ্ তা’আলা বান্দাদের বিচার কাজ সমাপ্ত করবেন। কিন্তু একজন লোক জান্নাত ও জাহান্নামের মাঝখানে থেকে যাবে। তার মুখমন্ডল তখনও জাহান্নামের দিকে ফেরানো থাকবে। জাহান্নামবাসীদের মধ্যে জান্নাতে প্রবেশকারী সেই শেষ ব্যক্তি। সে তখন নিবেদন করবে, হে আমার রব! জাহান্নাম থেকে আমার চেহারা ফিরিয়ে দিন। এর দূষিত হাওয়া আমাকে বিষিয়ে তুলছে, এর লেলিহান শিখা আমাকে যন্ত্রনা দিচ্ছে। তখন আল্লাহ্ তা’আলা বলবেন, তোমার নিবেদন গ্রহণ করা হলে, তুমি এছাড়া আর কিছু চাইবেন না তো? সে বলবে, না আপনার ইযযতের শপথ! সে তার ইচ্ছামত আল্লাহ তা’আলাকে অঙ্গীকার ও প্রতিশ্রুতি দিবে। কাজেই আল্লাহ্ তা’আলা তার চেহারাকে জাহান্নামের দিক ফিরিয়ে দিবেন। এরপর সে যখন জান্নাতের দিকে মুখ ফিরাবে, তখন সে জান্নাতের অপরূপ সৗন্দর্য দেখতে পাবে। যতক্ষণ আল্লাহ্ ইচ্ছা সে চুপ করে থাকবে। তারপর সে বলবে, হে আমার রব! আপনি জান্নাতের দরযার কাছে পৌঁছে দিন। তখন আল্লাহ্ তা’আলা তাকে বলবেন, তুমি পূর্বে যা চেয়েছিলে, তা ছাড়া আর কিছু চাইবে না বলে তুমি কি অঙ্গীকার ও প্রতিশ্রুতি দাওনি? তখন সে বলবে, হে আমার রব! তোমার সৃষ্টির সবচাইতে হতভাগ্য আমি হতে চাই না। আল্লাহ তাৎক্ষণিক বলবেন, তোমার এটি পুরন করা হলে তুমি এ ছাড়া কিছু চাইবে না তো? সে বলবে না, আপনার ইযযতের কসম! এছাড়া আমি আর কিছুই চাইব না। এ ব্যাপারে সে তার ইচ্ছানুযাযী অঙ্গিকার ও প্রতিশ্রুতি দেবে। সে যখন জান্নাতের দরযায় পৌঁছবে তখন জান্নাতের অনাবিল সৌন্দর্য ও তার আভ্যন্তরীণ সুখ শান্তি ও আনন্দঘন পরিবেশ দেখতে পাবে। যতক্ষণ আল্লাহ্ তা’আলার ইচ্ছা করবেন, সে চুপ করে থাকবে। এরপর সে বলবে, হে আমার রব! আমাকে জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করিয়ে দাও! তখন পরাক্রমলালী মহান আল্লাহ্ বলবেনঃ হে আদম সন্তান, কি আশ্চয! তুমি কত প্রতিশ্রুতি ভঙ্গকারী! তুমি কি আমার সঙ্গে অীঙ্গকার করনি এবং প্রতিশ্রুতি দাওনি যে, তোমাকে যা দেওয়া হয়েছে, তা ছাড়া আর কিছু চাইবে না? তখন সে বলবে, হে আমার রব! আপনার সৃষ্টির মধ্যে আমাকে সবচাইতে হতভাগ্য করবেন না। এতে আল্লাহ্ হেসে দেবেন। এরপর তাকে জান্নাতে প্রবেশের অনুমতি দিবেন এবং বলবেন, চাও। সে তখন চাইবে, এমন কি তার চাওয়ার আকাংখা ফুরিয়ে যাবে। তখন পরাক্রমশালী মহান আল্লাহ্ বলবেনঃ এটা চাও, ওটা চাও। এভাবে তার রব তাকে স্মরণ করিয়ে দিতে থাকবেন। অবশেষে যখন তার আকাংখা শেষ হয়ে যাবে, তখন আল্লাহ্ বলবেনঃ এ সখন্ড তোমার, এ সাথে আরো সমপরিমাণ (তোমাকে দেওয়া হল)। আবূ সাঈদ (খুদরী (রা.) আবূ হুরায়রা (রা.) কে বললেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ (সাঃ) বলেছিলেন যে, আল্লাহ্ তা’আলা বলবেনঃ এসখন্ড তোমার, তার সাথে আরও দশগুণ (তোমাকে দেওয়া হল)। আবূ হুরায়রা (রা.) বললেন, আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ্ (সাঃ) থেকে শুধু এ কথাটি স্মরণ রেখেছি যে, এ সখন্ড তোমার এবং এর সাথে সমপরিমাণ। আবূ সাঈদ (রা.) বললেন, আমি তাঁকে বলতে শুনেছি যে, এসব তোমার এবং এর সাথে আরও দশগুণ।
