Faculty Sections / Top ten habits to have in life
« on: December 02, 2019, 02:43:36 PM »
Never tolerate failures. Never consider failures as the end of everything. Failures always exist. Truth is, success might not be one of the possibilities of the aftermath. But, if you never give up on yourself and continually re-evaluate and improve the way you work, there will be constant progress. And this progress will increase the chance of your success.
Sleep and get up early. This is a very effective way to increase your productivity. Your body needs rest as it needs food-regular but not overloading.
Do Exercise! I think three times of 2.4 km run per week would be ideal. Daily push-ups and sit-ups would also be great!
Smile to your haters, no matter what.[/b] I know it is difficult. But letting toxic people exert negative pressure that might ruin your mood even for a single day is disastrous. Can you imagine how catastrophic it could be when it comes to meeting with clients with a broken mood/concentration?
Drink waters, a lot. Waters is good for your mind and body. It helps you to concentrate better.
Take a shower at 4/5 AM. This therapy works for me. I found many inspirations and creative ideas during the early morning shower.
When you have an idea comes up in your mind, no matter how raw it is, write it down! You never know what the future has in its arsenal to surprise you-Your future might depend on what you write now.
Do not play with your phones during dinner. Discussing private affairs with your family during dinner is an efficient way of saving your other fifteen minutes for other positive activities(reading, exercising, etc).
Spend thirty minutes per week of your weekend to re-evaluate your last week's progress. Ask yourself this about how many hours did you spend on the reading book A? How was the improvement in your life? How many hours did you work? How were the results of your work/study? Was it good enough? If not, where did you go wrong? How are the solutions to these failures? Are there some problems that you can not handle yourself? If yes, Do you have somebody you think you should talk to? When will you see him/her?
Never shout to your mom/dad/spouse/children when you argue with them. For one, Problems will always best solved when you have a cool head. Another thing is that families are prone to dissolution when you and your husband/wife get mad and shout at the same time. One must calm himself/herself down to maintain balance.

Faculty Sections / What are the most valuable things everyone should know?

Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you cry alone.
Those who love least, rules the relationship.
Watch what you wish for, you just might get it.
I place my hand upon my heart and swore that we would never part. I wonder what I would have said, if I’d have placed it on my head.
Sharpest as a sword is the tongue of an ungrateful child.
Be kind to the people on your way up. They will be the same people you meet on your way down.
Act, don’t react.
With knowledge, comes sorrow.
You can catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
Your actions will dictate what type of life you will have.
Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead. Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow. Walk besides me and be my friend.
Treat others as you want to be treated.
Not everyone will like you, but some will love you.
Don’t let others define you.
Love with all your heart and accept nothing less in return.
If you stumble, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again.
Never regret, because you don’t know how it would have turned out the other way.
When ever you are afraid, hold your head up high, whistle a happy tune, and no one ever knows your afraid.
Hurt me once, shame on you. Hurt me twice, shame on me.
Ask as many questions as you want. Just don’t ask the same question twice.
Things don’t turn out usually like you planned.
Plan to be surprised.
The obvious tends to be the right answer.
Never rip up the couch when no one is home.

Faculty Sections / some important life routine.

Go to bed earlier.
Set up your alarm.
Get deep sleep.
Wake up early.
Early Morning Meditation and Exercise
Have breakfast and go through some news (maybe paper/online)

5 quick ones.

That you’ll be glad you gave up.

1)Mediocrity. If you do what everyone else does you’ll be like everyone else. If you want to be extraordinary you need to do the extraordinary. Never could understand people doing what’s common yet expecting the extraordinary. At little crazy.

2)Wasting time. Fit in all the important pieces of life. Family, friends, health, spiritual. But in your spare time you either will grow or stagnate. You’ll either become an expert in your field or about teams in the NFL. I stopped watching the NFL a while ago.

3)Letting others dictate your life. You can either take charge of your life or someone else will. You can either set the direction for your life or someone else will. Which do you think will work out better? Who do you think cares more for your success? Think carefully.

4)Negative friends. You’ll become the sum of your closest friends. Hang out with negative losers and you’ll become one. Hang out with successful winners and you’ll become one. Hmm, that seems pretty simple. Glad I thought of that.

5)Negativity. Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on losing. Successful people expect to succeed. Failing people expect to fail. Some people predict failing so they’re never disappointed. And they’re not. Never quite saw the point of that.
Sometimes it’s just good to give up a few things.

ODEM uses blockchain technology to connect students and educators with courses and programs to help remove obstacles to education, training, and employment. Their partnership with Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), a polytechnic institute located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is an example of how blockchain technology can help increase academic record security and make educational records more accessible.

SAIT offers over 100 career programs and more than 1,300 continuing education and corporate training courses to greater than 200 companies annually but the traditional system of storing academic records ran the risk of students losing the paper documentation or even the entire database being compromised. This can cost the students and institution severely, both in time and money.

Through a pilot program placing 25 SAIT students’ Pre-Employment Automotive Service Technician certificates on blockchain, ODEM successfully provided the mechanism to protect SAIT’s records and gave students authority over their tamper-proof record of the diploma. Upon completing the successful pilot run, ODEM was able to serve an entire graduating class of over 4,800 SAIT students. This is the largest ever number of graduates at a Canadian institution with blockchain-based credentials.
