English / Command words used in question papers
« on: August 09, 2016, 10:36:29 AM »
I believe students should be well aware of the command words they find in the question papers. The attached file clearly elaborates what we want from students in their answer scripts.

‘Creative Writing’ is the innate power of an individual that makes him unique, ‘one’ among us. A creative writer can never be someone vindictive, since he exercises humanity through his writing. Therefore everyone should be a creative writer to be more humane than other humans. To uphold this message English Literary Club ELC DIU-PC has published its first Wall Magazine on 06 August, 2016. Students, teachers and administrative officers of Permanent Campus submitted poems, short stories and other creative writings. Among 34 submissions 23 write ups have been selected for publication. Professor Dr. Mostafa Kamal along with IQAC external peer reviewer Professor Dr. Mozhar Ali inaugurated the Wall Magazine by cutting a ribbon. They appreciated the initiative taken by the Department of English at Permanent Campus for providing such an opportunity to bring out hidden talents from students.

Ode to Poetry
Mir Md. Fazle Rabbi

You did not choose me,
I don’t know why.
It’s me, who chose you
Cause you are shy.

Never thought to write you,
You are like a moon.
I’m not an astronaut
How I catch you soon?

Reluctant to come closer
You are my new bride,
Winning you is considered as
Something of my pride.

Trying hard to convince you
Like a teen-age boy,
Blushing red in vacillation
You are such a coy.

Unable to approach you
Feeling disastrous,
You seem the only test
I can never pass.

Contemplating all my time
Keeping you in mind,
Trying hard to get you dear
Don’t be so unkind.

In my dream came you then
With a blazing beam,
Told me to be friend with
Pen and paper team.

Sitting in solitude, I
Write words, a few
Suddenly I find out that
It’s none but you.
