Sometimes a simple "thank you" can improve someone's self-esteem and mental health, even if its for the day. Send a "Thank You" note or card to three people who have made a positive difference in your life.
• Open with a thank you.
• Be specific. Why are you thanking this person? Use a specific story or helpful thing that they give you.
• Upon closing, tell the person to think of three people they would also like to thank, and ask them to do the same.

well, in many cases we think that Thanking a junior or subordinate or lower level management may hamper our image. its totally wrong. we can thank any one. and if we do, we can easily win their minds.
