Iran has been attacked by a new and even more powerful computer virus than the Stuxnet worm that covertly sabotaged its nuclear facilities, according to hi-tech experts monitoring the progress of the malware described as a “superweapon”.
The strength and sophistication of the virus, nicknamed by experts who identified it as Flame, has led to speculation that it was state-engineered, possibly by Israel, which was believed to have collaborated with the US to created Stuxnet several years ago.
