Title: We're so Tiny!
Post by: Antara11 on December 05, 2013, 12:25:27 AM
Humans are tiny. We're smaller than the dust in your room compared to the universe.

But no matter how many times someone tells you how tiny you are compared to the world around you, you'll never truly grasp the vastness of Space until it's compared to your surroundings.

Think of this: Your country is much larger than you are. The Earth is significantly larger than your country, and even larger than our planet is the Sun.

The sun is massive compared to Earth - but tiny when compared to the Milky Way Galaxy in which it calls home.

If you were to shrink the sun down to the scale of a white blood cell, the Milky Way Galaxy would be the size of the continental United States of America!

When thinking about the size of the universe - try to remember that there are hundreds of billions of galaxies in the universe!

On a lighter note remind this to the boastful people around us. People who think they are BIG! Lol.
