Title: Students ID Number
Post by: Ms. Aziz on August 07, 2010, 01:23:12 PM
Sometimes we see that students write down their partial ID no (only last part***-**-281) in registration form or other documents and also mention their last 3 digits when asked what is your ID number.I think they are not clear about the code of the ID number where each part represent a valuable meaning and its very easy so as to recall the entire number.Sometimes they say its a big number and tough to memorize. If you know the meaning it will help you to remember your ID number.
Here is the tips:
If your ID number is 053-11-807
1st Part
05 is for 2005 and 3 is for Fall semester.1 is for Spring 2 is for Summer and 3 is for Fall.(there are three semesters in a year)
2nd part
It represents the subject code
BA in English =10
BBA=11
CSE=15
Textile=23 etc.
So here the student is of BBA program
3rd part
this is the continuation of serial number. An ID of a  new students of BBA for Spring 2011 will be 111-11-****.Hope this will help you.If you are already known about it please teach your friends who are still unaware of it.

Very informatics post sir.

Do you can understand me about our CGPA  system?
Title: Re: Students ID Number
Post by: Ms. Aziz on August 07, 2010, 02:48:42 PM
Here it is

CGPA=∑ cr X grade point ÷ Total Credit

For Example
3 X 3.5+3 X 3.00+3 X 3.75 + 3 X 4.00 = ∑ cr X grade point which will be divided by total credit  ie12

Title: Software generated process
Post by: Ms. Aziz on August 16, 2010, 11:54:16 PM
We the DIU authority always try to give a better support to our students.Hopefully you all have come to know that we are going for a new software generated process before your examination. This new process will save your time as well as you dont need to stand in a long queue twice first in accounts and then in admission office. Here is the process:you need to pay your installment like before to the counter of the accounts office then you need to go to the officers from whom you usually took the clearance earlier .This time they will provide you the software generated print oUT paper if your dues are cleared and this is the EXAM CLEARANCE with which you can sit for exam. You dont need to go to admission office to collect admit card like before.I am sure this will facilitate you.

Dear Mr. Al Mamun Bhuiyan
Thank you to provide the right information. I think the right one will be "e".

Ms. Bidhita, you don't know what's the meaning of "E". E means Electronics. E means Effective. E means Efficient.  Have you been heard about "Governance" or "E- governance".

There is a common & effective language in this world named “politeness”. Every body respects the polite person. The above opinion or post would be more effective by using “politeness”. The hard language can discourage others to write in forum.

I am highly aspect your cooperation.
Thank you

We should reply any answer gently.

meaning of "E". E means Electronics. E means Effective. E means Efficient.

Nice answer Mr. Al Mamun......Thank you....
E don't have any specific meaning but "E" means computerized or automatic system. As you know, if any one introduce computerized system in any sector instead of analogue, we can say "E"....Such as E banking, E-Governance, E-Commerce, E-Mail, E-Book etc. Some days later we will say, E-Daffodil International University.  Insallah

Dear Mr. Shahin

I know it a little bit about scholarship and waiver criteria. When you want to take admission at DIU, If your SSC and HSC result adding  4+4= 8 , you will get 10% waiver. If you get the GPA-5 in HSC, you will get 100% waiver. If you maintain minimum CGPA 3.75 in each semester, you will get 10% scholarship. Maintain 4 in out of 4 in each semester, you will get 50% scholar. Note: It's only for BBA department. Other department may vary the percentage.

Thank you for  cooperation.  I have got it. If someone taking benefit of a waiver, he/she can not take any other waiver.

So, if 2 or more waiver opportunity  created, then what will be happen?
Title: Re: Students ID Number
Post by: Ms. Aziz on August 23, 2010, 11:17:58 PM
For example a student is getting 10 % TFW on HSC Result and in the semester Final s/he got 3.88 then s/he will get 20% TFW in the next semester instead of 10%.here among two % the greater will be provided. ( 10% will not be added with 20%)
Title: Re: Students ID Number
Post by: kazi shahin on August 24, 2010, 01:37:49 AM
Impressive.

So, there are a option about 2 brothers. Then If one become fail & other get the 3.88 then. What will happen after that?

Please don't be bother.
Title: Re: Students ID Number
Post by: ashiqbest012 on August 24, 2010, 06:56:58 PM
Suppose, I am a student of BBA and I do not get waiver. Now my younger brother, get admission to DIU. Now I and My brother will get 20% waiver each. There is a condition that both of them maintain CGPA 3.00.

Suppose, you are getting waiver 10% and you brother get admission to DIU. Now you and your brother get 20% waiver each. You don't get 20% + 10 %= 30% waiver.

Suppose, you obtain cgpa 4 on scale of 4 and your brother get cgpa 3.5. Now you will get 50% waiver and your brother will get 20% waiver.

Authority will count the maximum percentange of waiver.

I'm very happy to get the answer from you Mr. Ashiq. What about need base criteria?
Title: Re: Students ID Number
Post by: ashiqbest012 on August 24, 2010, 07:18:29 PM
You have to maintain more than cgpa 3.75 in your semester result or you have to obtain minimum CGPA 4 in your HSC and minimum 4 your SCC exam = 8 .

If you achieve anyone, you will get waiver. This is a minimum criteria of DIU.
Title: Re: Students ID Number
Post by: Ms. Aziz on August 24, 2010, 08:28:45 PM
@ashiq, some of your information are not correct. Here is the correct one.We dont offer waiver for SSC result, we do on HSC result for undergrad students and on Graduation result for Post graduate students.I already posted the chart of HSC result and as a female. In case of relationship both should study together if one's degree is completed the waiver offer will be automatically stopped for the other one.If two brothers or two sisters are getting 20% TFW on relationship quota and in the semester final one achieves 3.90 then that person will get 40% on result base the other one will get 20% as it is.In relationship quota both should maintain 3.00 in the semester final result.
We offer waiver in different categories some of them are
HSC result base
As a female
Relationship
Graduation result from DIU
Graduation result from other Institution
Tribal quota
Physically disorder
Daffodil College quota
Player quota
Freedom fighter's ward quota
DIU Employee Quota or 1st Blood relatives
Semester Result base
1st Batch of any program
Need Based
High Official etc

Students graduated from DIU  will be given tuition fee waiver for their second degree program at DIU in the following ways:

CGPA out of 4

Waiver Rate GPA to be maintained

3.75 to 3.84    40%    3.25
3.85 & above    50%    3.50

Students graduated from English Dpt  will be given tuition fee waiver for their second degree program at DIU in the following ways:

3.50 to 3.74    40%    3.00
3.75 to 3.84    45%    3.25
3.85 & above    50%    3.50

Students taking admission in the Masters Programs, graduated from other institute will be given tution fee waiver for their last degree in the following ways :

For anymore ques. ple ask me.

In relationship if one fail but the other one maintain 3.00 then failed person will be the looser and deprive TFW for that semester.Another important thing Undergard students must take  12 cr and Post Grad students must take 9 cr.If the dpt offer less than that then it will considered.

Hello Ms.Aziz

I have another query about course registration. In the printed registration document there are several designation for signing. We found hardly a single. When I was the student of L1T1, I was little bit confused that I  need more sign under the designation. I think every semester the new comer face this problem.

Why we can't do course registration through online?

In the time of course registration is there any system for advise? If yes, please add some senior student in the advisor team so that they also share their course experience.
Title: Paper less registration process from Fall 2010
Post by: Ms. Aziz on August 31, 2010, 04:44:27 AM
@Shahin,from Spring 2008 registration is going on through software system. The course advisors are skilled enough to guide a student. In the course offer courses are organized according to step by step (gradually advanced).very recently it will happened that if a student took a prerequisite course in last semester but got D or failed s/he wont be able to register for the advance course of that Prerequisite one and it will be automatically prevented by the software. The course advisor can also see the result of the student of previous semesters while doing advising. Now another good news for all of you. From this Fall 2010 to minimize the wastage of time, long queue authority has decided a new system of Registration process where no Registration Form will be distributed. The process will be like this. After payment (Dues clear) students will get a software generated registration clearance from accounts section.Students have to contact with their course advisor according to the course advising date with that clearance. After completion of successful registration students will be provided a registration confirmation print out.Thats it.Arent you happy? In near future students will be able to do their own registration by themselves if dues are cleared   just like email checking from anywhere.

Respected All

This is to inform you that to facilitate the Registration procedure authority has decided a new process to be followed . No Registration Form will be distributed as previous system. A software generated paper ( REGISTRATION CLEARANCE  ) will be issued to the students from the accounts section after paying the installment ( Dues clear). Students have to contact their course advisor according to their course advising date with this REGISTRATION CLEARANCE. After successful completion of registration through Software a Registration Confirmation print out will be provided to the students.
