Title: A few questions about the 'Children of Gaza Valley and Eid'
Post by: Sheikh Shafiul Islam on July 21, 2014, 03:29:39 PM

How can we enjoy the delights of upcoming eid-ul-fitar when thousands of Gaza children are suffering from terrible-wounds?
Why are the  powerful states of the world remain silent when Gaza children are the worst sufferers of Israeli bomb and bullets?
Why are the extreme violations of human rights  at Gaza are ignored by the world's powerful leaders when they are so concerned with such events in BD and other developing countries?
Why don't the world leaders make an alliance to force Israel to stop such barbaric attack on humanity?

I think your concern is much more related to power relations. Although power refers to both the hard and soft, in both cases Gaza has been one of the least privileged issues. Gaza is being ignored by super power blocs (US, UK or some other else) In terms of soft power e.g. economy, religious ideology etc. and hard power e.g, military, weapon etc. You can see that Ukraine accident has been more privileged issue in Western media rather than the humanitarian issue in Gaza.
From Obama to Putin are much concerned on Plane crash rather than the Israeli aggression in Gaza. It's all about power of money, manipulation, not about humanism.
But we badly need a huge humanist movement across the globe in resisting such aggressive power...

Very relevant and straight forward analysis you have made on the issue which I have highly appreciated. Everything is, now-a-days, is measured in terms of power, politics and influence where the peripheries are being grinned and groaned everyday.

Thanks Sir for the post..I guess we all know the true fact as Dr.Towfiq said. But no one have the solution of the problem or to stand against the power..we can only watch the children burnt..

Protests have been made. For sure one day all of those persons will be punished who are responsible for mass killing.
