Globally, children’s health is frequently endangered by exposure to natural or man-made toxic chemicals in the air, water, soil,
and food chain. Some or several of the historical pesticides and other persistent organic pollutants (POPs) may still be used,
legally or illegally. Current estimates suggest that there are up to 500 000 tons of unwanted and expired pesticides in non-OECD
countries. Also, uncontrolled obsolete stocks of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are common. But, what about in Bangladesh........yes, a study has been conducted in this regard , where it has found that the senerio is more alarming.
