DIU students’ wishes to transfer their credits to a foreign university are advised to go through the website of that university very carefully and must understand all the procedure regarding admission, tuition and other fees, available financial aid and insurance policy, and available part-time work facility for the students etc. before enrollment.
Transfer from other University:
Students with good academic records from other recognized University are eligible for transfer of their credits to DIU. Students wiling to transfer from another university must have transcripts of courses and grades, together with the copies of certificate/ mark sheet of SSC or HSC or transcripts of O and A levels. These Transcripts will be evaluated against the minimum entry requirement at DIU.
Exemption of Courses:
Students with extensive academic or professional experience may apply to waive courses by completing a ‘Request for Course Waiver’ form. This form should be submitted to the Coordinator of the Program/ Head of the Dept./ Dean of the Faculty with the relevant academic transcripts or evidence of an appropriate certification.
Students having completed any course of Bachelor’s degree from other recognized university are eligible for waiver provided that he/ she obtained at least a ‘B’ grade or over 50 percent marks in that specific course. Waiver is given to foundation courses only. Course waiver requires approval from equivalence committee of DIU.

Informative post Shahin...........

Dear Shahin,
in response to ur post here is the slight correction on the topic regarding credit transfer from other university ie course exemption .Right now we don't accept credit transferred students that much, we better prefer fresh students. However here I will describe how to get the acceptance the credit from other university.for example if one student is expressing interest to get admission who has completed around 15 courses from another university his or her process would be like the following
S/he must be eligible to get admission at DIU by fulfilling the admission criteria.
S/he needs to show all the Original academic documents from SSC to last completed courses to the counselor,Head of the Dpt and admission officer successively during the admission process.His/her admission will be completed after getting the recommendation from the Head and to some extent from the Dean/advisor.Primarily dean /advisor marked the courses which would be accepted in DIU in the photocopy of the transcript of the other university. After getting admission s/he has to write an application to the dean/advisor through the dpt head for accepting the completed credits.
Here is the sample copy of the application Iam just giving you the out line
To
The Dean/Advisor
DIU
through: the Head of the dpt
sub:Prayer for acceptance the completed credits from ****** university
Dear Sir,
Me***********bearing ID no ******* got admission in ur university in *****program.I would like to inform you that I hv completed **credits from *****University.
I therefore pray and hope that you will be kind enough to accept my those credits and help me to continue my studies in DIU.
yours truly
********
ID*******
Enclosed herewith the photocopies of academic transcript of *****University and Course equivalence Form
Course equivalent Form will be available from Admission office and dpt too. Here the student has to write the name of the completed courses, obtained grade point or grade, the name of the equivalent courses at DIU.
All these 3 papers( Cover letter,Transcript photocopies marked by dean/advisor primarily and equivalent Form) should be submitted to the Dean/Advisor office. After an Official process it will be decided which courses will be accepted.Usually courses at least with B+ and the courses which are more or less common with DIU are accepted. After acceptance it is circulated to the admission office for filling in the personal file,Exam section and Dpt for record and one copy to the student for approval.
my post will be effective if it helps you
