Joya, why don't you read 'A Short History of English Literature' by Ifor Evans? You will get enough information in the poetic lines of the historian.

Joya, have you got materials to prepare your answer? Listen, you simply can not depend on Internet sources. You are to consult at least two books. To prepare a standard answer on Geoffrey Chaucer you can read Edward Albert, William J. Long also. If you are a bit curious you will get all the necessary information to satisfy you.Thanks.
