So far as I know "English in Action" has taken this project - to tecah Englsih to the rural teachers through mobile phone device. Mike Solly is the CEO of the project.
In the era of technology we should try to find out the ways to untilize technology in our education sector. Mobile phone learning can be of great help for us.

Dear Ms.Suraiya

It is not possible for all students of the whole country to do a speaking course together. If one group of students get a good piece of daily conversation they can send it to their friends and family via mobile sms. Of course, teachers and self access centre can be better source of conversation.

Thanks

This topic is an updated one I think. To cope with the students of 21st century,we have to know the language of technology.

I have also found the idea of sharing conversation text helpful.

Regards

Shamsi

Thank you Sir. If our teachers allow the students to use mobile recorder or any recorders for recording the class lectures, then they will be highly benefited. The students may put there mobile on the desk or in front of them for recording the class lectures. After finishing the class, they will listen the recordings later on. Sometimes, the students fall into problem while studying any texts at home. If they get this opportunity, their problems will be eliminated mostly.

Dear all,
Concise Oxford English dictionary is available for Java as well as symbian operating mobile phones. Users will find meaning of a word at the same time they will find different forms of the word (such as noun, verb, adverb etc). Users will be benefited by finding the phonetic transcription of words. It is the mini-version of Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary, which we may call as portable Oxford dictionary. It is better than any other mobile dictionaries (according to my using). This software will be found the following website- getjar.com, and it's completely free.

yesterday in a class I told my students to check a website for more practice and just after a minute a student showed me the website through his mobile phone. At the end of the class, few students came to me and said 'we are new students...living in a hostel and we don't have computer or internet enabled mobile phone.'

Technology...is it making a polarised class?
