Bangladesh slipped its position from last year’s 172 to 174 in the World Bank’s Doing Business 2016 ranking, which was released on Tuesday.
It means, doing business in Bangladesh becomes slightly more difficult after a year.
The World Bank (WB)’s Doing Business report, started in 2002, review business regulations and their enforcement across 189 countries.
Economies are ranked from 1 to 189 by the ease of doing business ranking.
The last year’s report ranked Bangladesh at 173, but this year’s report features the recalculated 2015 rankings, in which Bangladesh comes at 172, computed according to a new methodology.
